Bamberg County Announces Closures and Schedule Changes Ahead of Hurricane Irma

Bamberg, South Carolina (September 2017) – Bamberg County Administrator Joey Preston announced that Bamberg County offices will be closed on Monday, September 11 because of Hurricane Irma. The Bamberg County Council meeting is rescheduled to Monday, September 18 at 6:30 p.m.  All Bamberg County Convenience/LAD sites will also be closed on Monday, September 11.

 

All Bamberg County Emergency Services and Public Works personnel will report to work on Monday, September 11.

 

Any closures or changes to Bamberg County schedules for Tuesday, September 12 will be announced on Monday, September 11.

 

Bamberg County will open an emergency shelter at Richard Carroll Elementary School, 1980 Main Hwy, Bamberg, SC. The shelter will open at noon on Sunday, September 10. For questions about the shelter, contact Tiffany Bryant, Bamberg County Emergency Services, at 803-245-4313, ext 1.
