Bamberg, South Carolina (April 2023) – On Wednesday, April 26, 2023,11 a.m., Bamberg County leaders will meet with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) representatives to discuss their Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The meeting will occur at the Bamberg County Courthouse Annex at 1234 N. St. in Bamberg, SC. 

The Bamberg County Council invites all community leaders and interested parties to attend this important meeting to learn how citizens could save $30 per month on broadband internet and related equipment. There will als be a “train the trainer” session after the presentation.

Currently, over 16 million households across the United States participate in ACP, including 33% of those in Bamberg County. However, approximately 1,677 eligible Bamberg County households are not receiving this benefit. We strongly encourage our citizens to take advantage of this incredible opportunity. The additional funds could significantly and positively impact some households and help mitigate the increased cost of groceries and fuel.
