Notice of Hearing Concerning Community Needs and Priorities
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 5:30 PM, Bamberg County will hold a public hearing to solicit public input on community needs and priorities for housing, public facilities, and economic development. At this public hearing, Bamberg County will conduct its annual community needs assessment, addressing development activities which might be undertaken to meet identified needs, including the estimated amount proposed to be used for activities that will benefit persons of low and moderate income.
Due to the public health risks presented by COVID-19, Bamberg County is opting to conduct this public hearing telephonically. All participants must dial 1-480-297-0773 by 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 and then enter the access code 820 5139 followed by the pound key to attend the public hearing.
This public hearing and the matters to be discussed are subject to the provisions of the Citizens Participation Plan, developed in anticipation of participation in the State of South Carolina’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and the Federal HUD HOME program, providing for the participation of the citizens of Bamberg County in the planning and implementation of community and economic development projects which will involve HUD funds.
The Citizen Participation Plan is available for review at the Bamberg County Courthouse Annex, 1234 North Street, Bamberg, SC 29003 Monday-Friday, 9:00-5:00, during regular business hours.
